Napoleon x Melon
1. He's a girl, she's Napoleon
This is what it means
To be Fantastic
As Napoleon, Melon smiles
“I can’t stop thinking”
“I can’t keep this up”
“I can’t stop what’s started"
Something I want so badly
“Ringo . . ."
“I want to show you my Napoleon side”
Melon stood out on the balcony of her grandparent’s apartment
She wanted to stay up until the newspapers came
She ended up falling asleep
With her back on carpet
And her feet in open air
The pressure of touching
Surfaces no one else had
Stayed with her in her dreams
“Hoshino! Breakfast!”
Hoy! Ai-ya my back! What?
The smell of eggs sets Melon’s stomach on edge
“Just make me some toast"
“I assume last night was productive?”
“Yes”
“And you were careful?”
“Yes”
“You’re on the front page, Hoshino”
Melon opens her eyes
“YES!”
Time to put your socks on
Get ready for school
I’ll never be tired again
“I think I can make it, Pa”
Instead of taking the stairs
Melon falls down the shaded side of the building
Oh-hohoho
Suddenly, disappointment
Or suddenly, confusion
The headline reads as follows
“He’s back! Napoleon strikes again!”
I’m not so convincing as a girl, huh.
“Hey, Ringo?”
“Yeah, Melon?”
“Do you think of me as a girl?”
What.
Whaaaaattt?
“Of – of- of course I do! The girliest!”
“That’s . . . what you want, right?”
I enjoyed this, though. Can't wait for more!
